Time Flies When You're Having Fun!
Student Teachers Rock!
We are beginning Mrs. Kihnley's second full week of lead teaching. She has taught our class so many skills. Our students are quite capable of describing a variety of items with adjectives. They have also learned all about time. She has taught them fun spelling games, done lots of hands-on activities, finished reading Charlotte's Web, and has begun The Indian in the Cupboard. The children absolutely love listening to Mrs. Kihnley read!
Please Give...
Please give the gift of cleanliness! We are
almost out of antibacterial wipes for our
tables! I try to keep things clean to keep
our sweet children from getting sick,
but we are on our last container of wipes.
If you could help our germiness by sending
in one or more containers, we would
greatly appreciate it!
Also, from time to time, I like to practice spelling
in different ways. If you would be willing to send
in some Play-do or some shaving cream, we would
be oh-so-happy! :)
Valentine's Note
A Valentine's note was sent
home today, Monday, February 4th.
I hope you and your child enjoy
creating the Valentine's box
together. Please let me know if
you have any questions.

Catching Up
I am so sorry for the delay in starting our blog...I've been so sick! It is now time...to catch up. Here are some things that I have been wanting to share.
Our Habitats
Our students did an amazing job sharing
what they learned from their research. We had
information about the habitats of all kinds
of animals, including a Polar Bear, Tiger, Alligator,
Monkey, and Great White Shark, just to name a few!
Learning
Here are some pics of our students during
Math. Students used the cubes to understand regrouping
in addition. Using manipulatives can be a great way
Our Holiday Party
We had a wonderful time at our holiday party.
Thank you to everyone who sent in items for
our class to enjoy. Also, thank you to those
of you who sent in items for the Humane Society.
We tried our hand at making "Green Glitter Slime".
We were pretty good at it if I do say so myself!
We mixed and squished until we had lovely green
mushiness to take home in those cute little container
made by Jackson's mom! Thank you to all my slime
helpers who came to the rescue when we tried
to measure water without measuring cups!
